i have lived too close (ok, not that close) to Amitabh Bachchan's old house not to know what fanaticism he evokes. Even after he moved a few years ago, there would be people queing up at exactly 6 p.m on Friday. i swear that the traffic actually seemed to be considerably worse every Friday. And apparently, he waved from the terrace of his house (without being there for oh, about 4 years).
Anyways saw another bit of madness a week back, this time near his new house. i was walking along the pavement opposite to his house and this guy is walking in the opposite direction seemingly normally. A second or two before we cross paths he suddenly does a goofy dance (some kinda cross between a drunk ballet dancer and a duck with vertigo) with clicks and whistles and claps. Having been exposed to enough madmen on the roads i ignored and moved away. One cursory glance later i realised he was putting on his performance FACING one of the balconies of Amitabh's house! i so fervently wish he was seen by his intended audience...

The 20 day itch...
Aaaahhhh! It had to be like this!!! When i have time theres nothing interesting to write about. And when i don't the universe conspires to come up with writable topics. The media blitzkrieg over Jessica Lal, new type of diplomacy, the mill lands case finally settled, the Indian team doing so well, if nothing else then atleast the state of road construction opposite my road... so much to write... seems my resolution to keep off the blog till all work's done is a failure. And i will write about one of these things one of these days...
